Weekend Report (part II)

As you will notice, I have changed the look of Macdaddy's Grill.
I just thought it was time to make a few changes. I hope you like the new look.

On another note: We got plenty of rain yesterday, no real severe weather here to speak of, just plenty of showers. Now watch this...

Next weekend is called a wash out too! Why?
Rain...and of course me being off and really wanting to do some bbq you can bet it will rain.

Just like when people wash their car or truck, it will always rain after.
Me...when I want to fix some 'Q'...it rains.

Oh well...
Break out the rain coats & rubber duckies.

Weekend Report...

I don't think I will be grilling anything today.

The weather gurus are calling for some rough weather around our little neck of the woods this afternoon, and they all sounded pretty serious about it last night. We'll see...

Someone asked me, who I was talking about on the post below. Or did someone just piss me off.

I won't mention a name, but rest assured it was not any of my girls, or any of my true friends. And yes...she did.

I don't care much for uppity type people that are too lazy or too high society minded to take the time to cook something. "Oh I didn't have time to fix all that, you do it and I'll try it, but bring enough to feed my whole family, I just hate cooking." Excuse me?

Well gee babe...sorry you would have to mess up your very lovely manicure by actually having to do some work in your kitchen.

One of Julie's friends asked if I minded making some for them because her husband loves chili and she has her hands full with two young 'uns.
Sure... no problem. That's how you ask me to do something for you.

Don't tell me you ain't got time to read the recipe, and say "you just fix it and bring it to me." Do I look like a maid?

You don't give me orders till I open up my restaurant, then I'll take your order.
Oh...by the way...for high society uppity type of people that wants me to cook for them...

Sorry about your luck...
You couldn't afford me.

Have a nice day!!!

Simply Thursday...

(this is a picture of my chili taken by the Tennessean)

You know, I was lucky enough to get my chili recipe published in the paper. But everybody wants me to make a batch for them.

Hello...recipe in the paper...you make it, get your hands dirty...

Now... don't get me wrong, I love to cook...and I don't mind feeding anybody...but if I gave you my recipe for free...why should I have to fix it for you? Here's the list...here's what to do...go for it.

If I have to fix it for you because you're not a follow a recipe kind of person, then stop at Wendy's...they have chili. Do I look like a short order cook?

Hey...here is the recipe that I have worked on for almost 10 years, given to you out of the goodness of my heart for free. And some people want me to fix it for them because they are too lazy?

People amaze me sometimes...

This & That...

Well... the weather has taken a turn for the better. Woo-Hoo!
About time... Julie has been grill deprived during this cold spell, so I fixed her up tonight.

Yes... I grilled her some chicken, and I didn't have to wear thermal long johns in the process.

(Lucky me)

Am I ready for spring? You'd better believe it. Was the chicken good? My wife is happy...

(Lucky me)

Weekend Report

It has started snowing just a tad this morning, that's ok, I'm good on beer till Monday.

We had to take Robyn to the eye doctor yesterday and we found out that she has a condition in her right eye that can turn into lazy eye if not taken care of now. So, she now has to wear glasses probably for the rest of her life. But, she has already excepted them (we picked them up yesterday) and we have told her how very pretty she looks in her new glasses. And she said she can see better with them already.

Julie said, she would start wearing her glasses more (instead of her contacts) and I will start wearing my glasses more often too.

Try to stay warm and if you have to go out, be safe.
Enjoy your day!!!

See posted Update below.

Update...

The pictures posted, are now a decent size to view when you click on them to enlarge. Before, all pictures posted would be huge when enlarged. But I figured it out and fixed that problem, so now I'm going back and re-sizing posted pictures.

Blogger used to do this automatically for you, but when they switched over to the new format it no longer did it for you.

As the old saying goes:
You learn something new everyday.

Amen to that brother...

Simply Thursday...

Well...the weather gurus can not get their story straight.

Snow, ice, sleet, cold weather (well they got that part right) cold weather, that is.

Snow?

Sorry, didn't happen, not here anyway. Oh wait...it snowed so much up here last night the only reason I could find my truck this morning is because it's black.

Sorry guys...you missed the mark by a country mile. Weather gurus...I wonder if they can cook better than they can predict the weather.

Probably not...
