Weekend Report...

Today is the Big Day of the Big Game.

Have you got your apron on? Grill fired up, chili ready, dips and chips, and cold libations iced down, ready to settle in and chow down and watch some football?

I know...your favorite team may not be in the Big Show and I've seen where people polled will not go all out this year and only spend a few bucks.

Spending 50 to 100 bucks as compared to previous Super Bowls spending 200 to 275 bucks.

Is it because of who's playing or is it because of the economy? I think it is a little of both...

Like I said, I'll watch the Super Bowl even if I don't care for the teams playing just for the commercials. And at 3 million dollars for a 30 second spot...they should be good.

So...

Is my team in the Super Bowl? No...

Am I going to spend a lot of money on food and drink and have people over? No...

I'll save that for this spring and summer. Chips and dips are about it I reckon.

I haven't been in a cooking mood lately.

I don't know if it is the weather (probably) or the fact that I have to listen to the neighbors 3 loud mouth dogs barking at me the whole time I'm out in the backyard smoking or grilling something...

So the menu will be simple. And who am I pulling for?

I'll have to say Green Bay.

I've really never been a Steelers fan. And before you say it...I'm not a Tennessee Titans fan nether. They can move back to Houston.

I'm not really a fan of any team. Just depends on who is the quarterback at the time.

I've liked:

Dallas
The Bengals
The Colts
The Bears
The Falcons
The New York Giants
The Jets

So, I've liked a few teams. But I'm not a die hard fan of any team. I just like to watch football...

The only thing I would like to see is the Super Bowl played on Saturday night instead of Sunday night.

But, you can't have everything...

B.D.
