I had sent some rub a few weeks back to because I wanted an opinion from some one that was a KCBS Judge and a competitor of BBQ. Robert sent me a response yesterday that he used my rub for pulled pork in competition and came in 9th place.
I hope, this is a good thing.
To break the top 10 is always good, but I don't know his track record so I hope this is a good thing and not a set back for him.
I think I have a very good product and so do a lot of people that have been very honest about it with me. But I just had to be sure...
Robert does judging for competitions and competes (himself) out of Brooklyn New York.
A whole different world up there...
But to me...if my rub will take 9th place in New York, I'll take it...
Not bad...for a grouchy old southern hillbilly...
