We finally got some much, much needed rain last night. Next spring, I will have to replace some shrubs and maybe a few trees. That late spring freeze and then extreme heat and drought took a toll on some things around here. The grass looks terrible, all that hard work the last two years down the tubes in one season.
As Charlie Brown would say "Rats..." But, we'll get through it.
Someone else (or something else) also had a B-day Oct. 16th.
Pat Martin's Joint has been open for one year selling Bar-B-Que.
A hardy congrats goes out to Pat and his lovely wife Martha for all the crap they have gone through to keep this place running and striving to feed folks some of the best barbecue around. Way to go Hog head...not bad for a white boy.
If you haven't done it already, read Pat Martin's Blog (link on the right). He tells all about the crap he has gone through to start his dream and his life up to this point.
Pat, is just like me, we can BS all day long, but we don't take any BS off anybody, we work hard, we play hard, and it's all about the Q. The only difference between Pat and myself (besides age and good looks on my part) is Pat is just a tad bit more outspoken than I am. Which, is a good thing on his part, he tells it like it is.
Again, 'Congrats Hog head' on the one year anniversary.
Well... Got to go to work.
Enjoy your day!!!
B.D.
